On January 8, 2020 Boeing 737-800 was “Ukraine International Airlines” flying Tegean-Kiev was accidentally shot down by Iranian air defense forces.
The Iranian authorities initially denied this fact, but admitted that there is a “human factor”. Ukrainian Boeing was shot down by mistake.
The plane crashed 12 km from Tehran.
There were 167 passengers and 9 crew members on board. They all died.
