A man implanted an electrode in his brain at home

Andrei Raduga, 40, performed a craniotomy with a drill and paper clips and inserted an electrode into his brain. As the experimenter explained, he did this in order to have controlled dreams.

The man carefully studied videos on Youtube watching the work of neurosurgeons. Then he conducted experiments on 5 sheep and only then decided to operate on his brain.

He bought an ordinary drill in the store and proceeded to the operation. Due to inept actions, he lost about a liter of blood, but survived.

Mikhail did all this with one goal: he is sure that the electrode, by stimulating the motor cortex of the brain, will help him control lucid dreams. The experimenter has been working on this topic for a long time and for a year and a half planned to turn to neurosurgeons to install an implant, but due to ‘criminal risks and other well-known events’ everything fell through. Therefore, Michael decided on his own to ‘expand the idea of human capabilities’.
