Colombian tie – corte de corbata is a form of intimidating execution used by criminal gangs in Latin America in which an incision is made on the victim’s throat from which a tongue protrudes like a tie.
The Colombian tie as a form of execution appeared in Colombia during the 10-year civil war of 1948-1958, which claimed the lives of more than 200,000 Colombians.
This type of execution was actively practiced by the Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar to intimidate competitors. We have at our disposal a video showing the process of the execution of the Columbian Tie.
