8 cats and 3 dogs ate the corpses of their owners for two weeks

Residents of one of the houses in Yekaterinburg contacted the police. There was an unpleasant smell coming from the apartment of the neighbors. After the apartment was opened, two corpses and 11 animals that had eaten them were found in it.

A 62-year-old man and a 55-year-old woman died of unknown causes. The examination carried out by the police did not establish traces of violent death.

The elderly couple died two weeks ago. At that time, there were domestic animals in the apartment, which from hunger began to eat the decomposed corpses of their owners.

However, two cats died of dehydration.

Now volunteers of animal protection organizations are taking care of the animals, the police are investigating.
