In Switzerland there is a dish called ‘Christmas cat’. Cat meat is fried and then stewed with thyme, garlic, tomatoes and other spices. Maybe this couple of flayers decided to cook a Christmas cat according to a special recipe?
In the first part of the video, the cat is boiled alive, and then the animal is simply doused with boiling water.

As you understand, there is no anonymity in WhatsApp. But there is a nuance. This is a Brazilian band and the person who posted this video most likely lives in Brazil.
That is, this person found a video in some Chinese public and published it again.
Whether he will contact me, I don’t know.
So the venture to find the source of the video seems rather dubious to me.

Some random faceless internet people redistributed the video, can’t really hold them accountable for anything. Perhaps bad taste, but not much more. It’s the people who commit and film these atrocities. And as you said, most likely China or some South American shithole. It happens in the West too, let’s not kid ourselves. It’s just tragic and heartbreaking, and if they’re unidentifiable, not much can be done. However if they’re found out, vigilantism / mob justice is encouraged and warranted. I personally know a dog trainer from my neighborhood, and while he doesn’t really kill and maim the dogs, or anything brutal like that, he sometimes handles them roughly, and while they’re big German shepherds, it’s still shit to see or hear about such incidents. I already don’t see eye to eye with him due to previous interactions over something political, and he has a tendency to provoke; so I’m just waiting for him to mouth something off to me, because I’m going to truly enjoy putting a bad beating on that lowlife. Getting a criminal record is acceptable if one stays true to himself or some principle.
That being said, I don’t know why you’re chasing this trail trying to uncover the behind the scenes of this video. We can’t really do anything about it
