Cannibal Anthony Morley, 36, was sentenced to 30 years in prison for fatally stabbing his 33-year-old friend Damien Oldfield while lying in bed with him.
The Briton then cut off part of the victim’s leg, cooked it and ate it in the restaurant, telling the staff that he had killed the man and was now eating it.
In his defence, the defendant said that he committed the murder in self-defence because his friend had tried to rape him. However, the court found that the man gave false testimony in an attempt to shield himself.
The prosecutor called the crime “horrible, shocking and savage,” the BBC reported.
