The strike was carried out today at 3:05 am Moscow time using two surface kamikaze drones.
At that time, on the bridge connecting the Krasnodar Territory and the Crimean peninsula, there was an active movement of vehicles towards the Crimea. Citizens of Russia massively went on vacation despite the fact that the war is 200 km away.
A family from Stary Oskol, Belgorod region, together with another family, went on vacation to the Crimea in two cars. The second car lagged noticeably behind due to a delay in the inspection.
Their car was close to the epicenter of the explosion. From the blast wave, the car’s engine flew into the cabin, which caused the death of the driver and passenger, a married couple.
Their 14-year-old daughter received a closed head injury and multiple cuts. Soon she was hospitalized, her life is out of danger.
According to insiders of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine, the blow was delivered by unmanned kamikaze drones. Exactly the same drones were used a few days earlier in an attack on the Sevastopol Bay.
Surface drones are hardly noticeable at long distances. The boats of the border service opened fire from heavy machine guns on targets approaching the Crimean bridge, but to no avail.
As a result of the attack, one span and a support of the bridge in the direction of Crimea were damaged. The railway bridge was not damaged.
In the next 24 hours, a retaliation strike for the attack should be expected, as this was the last time the Russian Aerospace Forces launched a missile attack on the cities of Ukraine.
