The man came to the village of Fedorovskoye in the Ryazan region to celebrate the new year with his woman’s relatives.
Immediately after the onset of the New Year, the 37-year-old lieutenant colonel decided to please his loved ones with a powerful salute.
Nobody really knows what happened, probably, the salute detonated and the lieutenant colonel was blown off his head by a blast wave.
It is reported that the man’s funeral took place on January 3 in the Moscow region.
