As I wrote, the server on which the DEADHOUSE projects are hosted was bought and assigned to my former partner and friend K.
I had a good relationship with K., he helped me a lot, I tried to repay him in the same coin.
But on one thing we had serious disagreements – we have completely different political views. If I am a liberal by conviction, then K, how to put it exactly, is rather a conservative.
Such people in Russia are called “Sinteponovy vatnik”. If it’s just that Vatnik is an outrageous pseudo-patriot-Russophile and adores Putin, then the Sinteponov vatnik does not approve of Putin’s activities, but at the same time he fiercely hates liberals, Navalny and other Russian oppositionists.
Our communication, apart from some technical issues, ultimately boiled down to the following. About once a week and a half late in the evening, having drunk beer, K. called me and we talked about all sorts of political topics.
He probably thought it was fun. Like he trolls me. In fact, it turned out something like this: K. expressed unsubstantiated judgments, I demanded confirmation, and K. proudly left with a burning fart.
As a result of these political discussions, I have always been the winner. At some point, K’s cup of patience apparently overflowed and one day he called me at 2 am with a demand to get the fuck out of his server.
To which I subtly hinted that the server is not only his, but the general one.
We argued for a long time, but in the end I simply had no choice, since legally the server and the cost of hosting it are entirely assigned to K.
I have saved all the audio recordings of telephone conversations and screenshots of the correspondence with K. I could present my former friend and partner in a very negative light, but I don’t want to do this, well, at least as a sign of my former friendship.
However, if the situation ever comes up, and I’m sure it will come up, everything is documented and saved.
As a result, I took a dedicated server and moved DEADHOUSE and some of my projects there, so let this incident remain on K’s conscience, not mine.
Life goes on.
