Imagine a man from the Russian province. There is no job in his city or village, and if there is a monthly salary of $ 200-250 per month, life becomes more expensive every month, his salary remains the same.
Such a person falls into depression, and relieves depression in the most accessible way – with alcohol. That is why there are so many alcoholics in Russia.
Such a person gradually accumulates negativity in himself, and then takes an ax and attacks people in a store or takes a pistol and kills a 10-year-old girl.
There is an instant burst of negative emotions that have accumulated over several months, and maybe years.

But you are mistaken about capitalism in Russia. There is no capitalism in Russia, but there is Putinism – a kind of fascism with commodity-money relations.
Most of all, it resembles stronism. Read about it, stronism is well studied.
Sadly, this is how it is in America too. My wages have stayed pretty much close to the same and now when my wife and daughter and I go to the grocery store and spend our $250 a week budget, we come back with virtually nothing. My daughter’s daycare is $225 a week, rent is $1200 a month (which is cheap in Florida) $658 car payment, $179 utility bill etc etc etc. it’s depressing how expensive life has become and it infuriates me, coupled with all the nonsense going on in our society, so I can see how people snap.
