Yevgeny Prigozhin and Dmitry Utkin, who headed the Wagner PMC, died during a plane crash.
The crash occurred in the sky over the Tver region. There were 7 people on board the Embraer Legacy private jet, including Evgeny Prigozhin and Dmitry Utkin. In addition to them, the plane was the logistician of PMC ‘Wagner’, Prigozhin’s personal cameraman and security guards. All of them died, the bodies of Prigozhin and Utkin were identified.
The causes of the disaster are yet to be established by the investigation, the authorities do not rule out a terrorist attack.
Prigozhin had many enemies among the top leadership of Russia, especially after an attempted armed rebellion during which several members of the Russian army were killed.
