In Voronezh, a regular bus exploded, injuring 24 people, 3 people in serious condition, 1 person died. One woman’s feet were blown off as a result of the explosion.
The incident took place on the evening of 12 August. There were 35 people in the bus. The special services, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the FSB, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation were summoned to the scene.
Several versions of what happened were put forward. Investigators have denied a terrorist attack. Initially, investigators said that the gas cylinder for the Primus portable burner exploded, but this version was not confirmed later, especially since it looks ridiculous.
According to preliminary data, gas-cylinder equipment was illegally installed on the PAZ bus using a handicraft method. PAZ buses have a hybrid power plant that allows the engine to run on diesel fuel or liquefied gas.
However, the driver and the carrier deny the presence of a gas-cylinder installation in the regular bus.
