The rector of the Church of the Holy Prophet Elijah in the village of Amurzet, Jewish Autonomous District, Oktyabrsky District, Hieromonk Spiridon (in the world Yuri Abramov) and the bell ringer of this temple, Sergei Moos, are accused of molesting underage boys aged 12 to 16 years.
In November 2019, a resident of the village of Amurzet filed a statement with the police that Abramov and Moos are committing lecherous acts with boys from the Youth Orthodox
Cossack center, which is located in the village.
The police check confirmed the facts of sexual abuse of children. Abramov and Moos were arrested.
53 children are victims in the case of pedophilia of Orthodox priests, in 16 cases there is evidence of child rape, more than 20 criminal cases have been opened.
The investigation has now been completed and submitted to the court.
