A man with a 3-year-old child barricaded himself in the apartment and opened fire from the window. The wife of the brawler called the police.
The man announced to the arriving policemen that the entrances to the entrance and the apartment were mined. He demanded that the head of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, Alexander Bastrykin, contact him.
The man also demanded to hang several people in the central square of the city, in his opinion, connected with the special services of Ukraine.
He reported that he took 40 tranquilizer tablets and washed them down with alcohol. He opened fire on the arrived police officers from the window of his apartment.
Residents of nearby houses were evacuated, a capture group arrived at the scene.
However, soon the man freed his own son from the hostages and voluntarily laid down his arms.
Later it turned out that the man’s name was Vladimir Shirokov, born in 1978. He worked in the property maintenance and operation department of the city administration and was a member of the United Russia party.
On the fact of the incident, a criminal case was opened under Art. 127 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ‘illegal deprivation of liberty, committed with the use of weapons, against a knowingly minor’ and Art. 317 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ‘encroachment on the life of a law enforcement officer’.
